After the overwhelming success of the papersleeve release of their 1983 concert in Perugia (“Alder”, AMS106CD), Estate di San Martino decided to reunite with the original line-up, composing a brand-new work for the AMS label. “Febo” is an outstanding gem, a concept album in the best tradition of Italian melodic Progrock, highlighted by a superb musical production with complex but still beautiful atmospheres and skilful musicianship.
“Febo” is the tale of a young boy that discovers progressive rock and decides to move away from downloading piracy rediscovering the taste of buying a record enjoying both music and artwork. As most of the Estate Di San Martino members are affirmed session men, this record highlights their extraordinary musical skills, “Febo” will be for sure a future classic of Italian prog rock.
