AMS RECORDS

Founded in 2005 from a distributive synergy with the historical BTF-Vinyl Magic from Milan, AMS Records is currently the label which is most careful to the past, the present and the future of Italian prog tout court.

The activity of AMS Records ranges from reprints of historical records or unpublished ones from the seventies (Alphataurus, Biglietto per L’Inferno, Campo di Marte, Locanda delle fate, Garybaldi, just to name a few) through the scenes of new Italian prog of these years (Maschera di Cera, Höstsonaten). All this both in vinyl and CD.

The reprints of historical soundtracks on vinyl, which are always accompanied by a careful research of materials and curiosities about the films, are another great passion of AMS Records. Besides, the historical reissues on vinyl from the Cinevox catalogue with names like Goblin, Ennio Morricone, Piero Umiliani and many others are also of AMS Records.

The projects of AMS Records are often not limited to the purely musical aspect, but they are the fusion of different artistic experiences. Collaborations with artists such as Lanfranco Frigeri, Luciano Regoli, Nicola Pankoff, Matteo Guarnaccia and Pietro Spica have allowed the realization of limited editions, some of which are already collection objects.

For this reason AMS Records has always paid great attention to detail, being able to differentiate itself also through arrangements such as the restoration of colours of artworks and the packaging in paper sleeve format.
