The Milanese band’s focus is today even more oriented towards the future, building on superb prog-metal that evolves into darker, heavier and more structured ground, whilst retaining the atmospheres already present in their previous works. The album’s central theme explores the subtle space between pressure and fracture.

Cellar Noise’s third album is centered around the experience of being trapped within one’s own mind, held captive by rigid mental constructs shaped by fear and self-deception: defence mechanisms created as safety nets and survival tools, both reassuring and deceptive at the same time. However, as balance slowly deteriorates and panic intensifies, a subtle possibility of freedom emerges beneath the surface: breaking free from the cage and reclaiming one’s true self, allowing a moment’s respite for an exhausted and overwhelmed mind.

Mixed by Loris Bersan (bass, acoustic guitar) and Alessandro Palmisano (electric guitar) as the band’s previous album, “Panic Loves Telling Lies” has been recorded at RecLab Larsen Premoli Studios and mastered in Sweden at the legendary Fascination Street Studios, whereas the artwork comes from English artist Carl Glover, a long-time collaborator of Steven Wilson and numerous other KScope artists.

Digipack CD edition with 12-page booklet.

“Panic Loves Telling Lies” segna il ritorno dei Cellar Noise a sette anni dal precedente album “Nautilus”, che già li aveva visti maturare incredibilmente rispetto al debutto “Alight” del 2017.
