L’omonimo album del Buon Vecchio Charlie \u00e8 da annoverarsi tra i vari dischi del panorama progressive italiano mai pubblicati al momento della loro realizzazione (1972), e tenuti nel cassetto fino a una tardiva prima edizione ufficiale negli anni ’90.<\/p>\n
Un gioiello che non \u00e8 azzardato definire tra i ‘fondamentali’ del prog nostrano e che, una volta stampato, and\u00f2 presto fuori catalogo per poi essere finalmente edito da AMS Records in CD papersleeve nel 2011. Un album fantastico, di puro e complesso prog sinfonico con un grandioso intreccio tra flauto, chitarra e organo, con forti influenze classiche, musicisti talentuosi, che suonano come i grandi dell\u2019epoca (ci vengono in mente nomi come PFM, Banco, Orme e Quella Vecchia Locanda).<\/p>\n
Oggi “Buon Vecchio Charlie” \u00e8 ripubblicato da AMS nella sua edizione ‘definitiva’, in vinile crystal, con una copertina che rispecchia quella dell’edizione in CD, incluse le note originali scritte dal chitarrista e cantante Luigi Calabr\u00f2.

Edizione in vinile nero.\ufeff<\/span>Buon Vecchio Charlie’s self-titled record is one of many others who were never released at the time they were made (1972, in this case) but remained hidden in some obscure closet, until a late publication in the ’90s.<\/p>\n This is a real gem that we dare to name among the ‘fundamentals’ of Italian Prog; once released the first time, it soon went out of stock until AMS Records produced a CD version in 2011. A fantastic album, made of pure and complex symphonic prog music, with a beautiful mix of flute, guitar and organ, with strong classical influences; the musicians involved were very skilled, such as the other ones playing in bigger and more famous bands: PFM, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Le Orme and Quella Vecchia Locanda, just to name a few.<\/p>\n Today “Buon Vecchio Charlie” is released once again by AMS Records in its ‘definitive’ edition, on crystal vinyl, with a cover artwork that reflects the CD’s one, including the liner notes written by guitarist and singer Luigi Calabr\u00f2.
