“Storie di un’altra citt\u00e0” segue di ben sedici anni il precedente album “La ragione e il torto” e, in virt\u00f9 di un songwriting fresco, fluido e soprattutto ispirato, dona nuova vitalit\u00e0 a una band fondamentale del rock italiano dei primi anni ’70. Difficile citare un brano piuttosto che un altro, in quanto siamo al cospetto di un disco rock molto variegato, in cui ciascun pezzo \u00e8 dotato di una forte personalit\u00e0. A dominare sono chitarre e tastiere, due strumenti che proiettano l’album verso il futuro, piuttosto che guardare con malinconia al passato: il risultato \u00e8 inaspettatamente coinvolgente e sorprendente!<\/p>\n
Completano infine l’opera le bellissime illustrazioni del pittore Pietro Spica, che rinnova qui la sua collaborazione con il gruppo dopo aver realizzato l’artwork ‘garybaldino’ del precedente “Live in Bloom”. Segnaliamo inoltre la presenza, rispettivamente nei brani “Vicino in un momento” e “William Fix”, del compianto chitarrista Bambi Fossati e di David Jackson (Van Der Graaf Generator) al sax e al flauto.<\/p>\n

“Storie di un’altra citt\u00e0” (Stories from another city) comes sixteen years after the previous album “La ragione e il torto” and, thanks to a fresh, fluid and inspired songwriting, gives new vitality to a fundamental band of the early ’70s Italian rock. It’s difficult to quote a song rather than another, because we are in the presence of a very diverse rock record, where each piece has a strong personality. Guitars and keyboards are dominating, two instruments that project the album towards the future rather than looking wistfully at the past: the result is surprisingly addictive and amazing!<\/p>\n
The work is completed by the beautiful illustrations painted by the artist Pietro Spica, who here renews his collaboration with the group after his ‘Garybald-ish’ artwork for the previous “Live in Bloom”. There are also two very special guests, respectively in the songs “Vicino in un momento” and “William Fix”: guitarist Bambi Fossati – sadly missed in 2014 – and David Jackson (Van Der Graaf Generator) on sax and flute.<\/p>\n
